How can I represent myself as a designer?
The most interesting aspect of this project was thinking of a way to capture how I perceive myself and how I want others to perceive me as a person and an artist. I landed on creating a “menuesquee” style, which works well for my personality- reserved on the outside, but the inside of the menu reveals a more maximalist style of design, which I feel is reflective of what it is like to get to know me as a person and an artist.
My leave behind is acting as a small menu with the velum meant to replicate the half slips or inserts that are often present in menus. Of course my resume mimics the format of a menu, but still stylized and professional. The receipt would be used as a way to close out the meeting or interview, but still tie in with the theme of work that I created.
